What is Mantrailing?
Dogs track trails made by humans in both natural and urban settings
Uses dogs' natural instincts to sniff and track
The dog leads the human with a long leash
What are the benefits of Mantrailing?
Enriching and challenging exercise for dogs
Both physical and mentally tiring
Dog-led sports increase confidence and problem-solving
What do you need?
Sturdy harness (collars not allowed as the dogs are in the lead)
Long leash (30ft preferred)
High value rewards (toy, food)
Is this Search and Rescue (SAR)?
No, at Nosewise we are not credentialed for SAR and we do not train SAR teams
We are enthusiasts having a ball with our dogs in the woods :-)
